Local teenagers who have completed National Citizens Service (NCS) schemes are being invited to apply for funding for any future projects.
Lincolnshire Youth Association and Lincolnshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services (Young Lincolnshire), say they will to by happy to receive applications from any young people who have completed NCS or are currently on the scheme.
The funding comes from the Starbucks Youth Action campaign.
A spokesman said: “There is a short deadline for the current scheme and we would like to hear from people by September 5, but we ask young people not to be put off by deadlines or the paperwork.
“If in doubt, they should just ring us or send an email.
“This is a great opportunity for young people to use money for any type of project they want to engage in within their community.
“They can be as imaginative as they wish.
“They will need to go to a ‘dragons den’ type meeting about their idea but it is a friendly one, made up of people who understand youth activity.”
In Horncastle this summer, teenagers on the NCS scheme helped re-decorate the town’s Youth Centre.
They raised funds for materials with a cake stall.
