Pupils at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Horncastle were treated to a history lesson with a difference - involving a real cannon!
If you heard explosions in the town on Friday morning, living history group ‘17th Century Life & Times’ brought along a cannon and musket which were fired in the school’s field.
The students were shown how both a musket and a piece of artillery - named Ezekiel - were prepared and then fired.
Mrs Scarborough was invited up to set off the final cannon blast.
Check out our video of both being fired.
