Lincolnshire County Council has worked with schools to develop and introduce a new school improvement strategy for when the contract with CfBT Education Trust for maintained schools finishes in August of this
year.

CfBT have managed school improvement in the county since 2002.

The Lincolnshire Learning Partnership will see schools working in partnership with each other and other educational establishments - and a board has been established with representative headteachers and
governors.

LCC executive councillor for children’s services Patricia Bradwell said: “The contract with CfBT Education Trust has come to its natural end and we have decided that a sector-led approach, where schools drive improvement and provide the support for each other, is the most effective model.”

Coun Bradwell said this type of scheme had ‘proved successful
elsewhere’.
