There were tears of joy and smiles all round at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Horncastle today (Thursday) as pupils celebrated their GCSE results.
The school continued an impressive record at GCSE level with many pupils gaining passes at A* and A.
The vast majority of pupils will be back at QEGS after the summer holidays to start their A-level studies.
Danielle Noyland said she was ‘very pleased’ with her results and praised overall educational standards at the school.
She said: “It’s a brilliant school. The GSCE’s were difficult but the school prepared us really well.
“I worked hard and did a loads of revision. Happily, it has paid off.”
Several pupils said the written sections of foreign language examinations were particularly testing.
However, many of them still achieved high grades.
Steph Garner said: “I am really pleased with my results and now I’m looking forward to Sixth Form and my A levels.”
A full round up and more photographs from QEGS will be included in the Horncastle News next week.
