Pupils and staff at Gartree School in Tattershall were celebrating earlier today (Thursday) after recording some of the best GCSE results in their history.
Sixty six per cent of pupils achieved at least five passes between A* and C - much to the delight of interim headteacher Paul MacLeod.
He said: “There are some real success stories and great individual results.
“We’re very proud of our students. They - and our staff - are to be commended for their hard work.”
Mr MacLeod revealed the school had contacted officials to ‘enquire’ about a number of marks and grades in English and said it was an issue at a county and national level.
Notable successes at Gartree included Demi Scott who passed in 12 subjects and Michael Goodchild who recorded 6 A’s and 4 A*’s - some of the highest grades the school had ever achieved.
One student, Sarah Etherington, said she was delighted with her results and praised teachers for their support.
She will continue her studies at a sixth form college in Boston.
The results continued an excellent year for Gartree which has seen the school come out of special measures.
