Maths marvels from Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Horncastle have taken part in a special ‘gifted and talented’ event.

More than 100 year 10
and 11 pupils from
secondary school across Lincolnshire descended
on Market Rasen’s De Aston School for a fun-filled day of maths.

The event, aimed at
gifted and talented pupils,
saw students take part in various sessions throughout the day.

They discovered how maths relates to all kinds of things in every day life - even juggling.

Workshops included ‘a bit, a crumb, a nybble and a byte’ and ‘dating, deceiving and defence strategy: it’s all just a game’.
