Parish councillors in Woodhall Spa have decided not take any further action over complaints about inconsiderate parking outside St Hugh’s School.

It follows assurances from the school that they are working with parents and staff to solve the problem.

Residents had complained, claiming parents were parking outside their homes - instead of using the school’s facilities.

Councillors had written to the school after concerns were again raised at a recent meeting.

Headteacher Kevin Ward sent a reply to the council and also attended this month’s parish council meeting.

Residents at the centre of the issue also attended the meeting.

Parish clerk Amanda Bushell said everyone seemed happy with the school’s positive response and added: “We will not be taking the matter any further.”

Complaints have been on-going for some time with claims parents of some pupils were parking in private driveways and ruining grass verges.
