A DONKEY from Rand Farm Park arrived at Bardney Church of England and Methodist Primary School to join in with the Easter celebrations last week.

Church governors, staff and members of the local churches helped to retell the Easter story using five interactive scenes that the children moved between.

The children learned about Palm Sunday and how Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.

Headteacher Garth Hicks, said: “We decided that this year we wanted to teach the children about the Easter story in a different way.

“It was really exciting seeing the children learning in so many different ways and asking lots of questions about what might have happened.”
