Woman damaged ex’s family home

A 26-YEAR- OLD Horncastle woman damaged a car and broke window at the home of her former boyfriend’s mother, Skegness Magistrates’ Court heard last Tuesday.

Kayleigh Heywood of Churchill Avenue admitted damaging a Ford Mondeo and breaking a house window belonging to Annette Shaw, at Ndola Drive, Horncastle on June 30.

It was said that she had recently split up with the complainant’s son and considered herself to have been provoked into causing the damage.

In mitigation, Ian Benton said Heywood was ‘angry and frustrated’ and had been ‘very distressed’ at the time of the incident.

He said she had no income apart from being given a small sum by her former boyfriend.

Magistrates imposed a 12-month conditional discharge and she was ordered to pay a total of £468 in compensation.
