Police are investigating what residents have described as an outbreak of ‘mindless vandalism’ in Woodhall Spa.

Several flower beds and hanging baskets were ripped up and damaged in The Broadway and Station Road areas while at least two signs were vandalised.

On resident estimated at least a third of the village’s displays had been damaged with some flowers thrown across the road.

He said: “It is mindless and the sooner the sooner the people responsible are caught the better.

“A lot of hard work goes into these displays. They are part of the character of Woodhall Spa. Now, a lot of them are ruined.”

The damage took place one evening last week,

Police confirmed they are studying CCTV recordings from local businesses to try and identify the culprits.
