Murder suspect appears in court
A HORNCASTLE man facing a murder charge has made a further court appearance.
Keiron Podd, 37, is accused of fatally stabbing 30-year-old Paul Nathaniel Richards Jones of Waring Street, Horncastle on March 12.
The incident allegedly took place at Mr Podd’s Mareham Road home.
Following a hearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday, July 5, Mr Podd is scheduled to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Monday, September 10 where he is expected to make a plea.
If he pleads not guilty, a trial date has been set for October 1 at Leicester Crown Court.
Mr Podd is remanded in custody.
