A 49-YEAR-OLD man will go on trial at Lincoln Crown Court next month after allegations he had almost 10,000 indecent photographs of children in his possession at a house in Tattershall.
Kevin Baxter, who lives in Cedar Close, Patchway, Bristol, will face a total 13 charges relating to various child pornography offences.
His trial is scheduled for September 20.
He appeared before magistrates in Skegness last Thursday when an additional charge of possessing 163 indecent photographs of children was withdrawn.
Because of the seriousness of the remaining charges, Mr Baxter was not required to enter a plea.
Mr Baxter initially appeared before magistrates in Skegness on June 12 when the case was adjourned for committal.
The alleged offences - which also involve CD’s, DVD’s and videos - came to light in June 2009 and date back to April 2005.
All the evidence was found at an address in Tattershall.
The first charge claims Mr Baxter possessed 5,196 indecent photographs on a computer hard drive in June, 2009.
It is also alleged a further 3,865 indecent photographs of children were found on CD’s and DVD’s along with a further 237 “hard copy” photographs.
Mr Baxter is due to face five further charges of making indecent photographs, ranging from level one to the more serious level five offence.
In addition, Mr Baxter will face five charges of making videos - rated between level one and level five - of indecent photographs, including one video named ‘pedoland’.
