Officials at Horncastle Town have hit out at mindless vandals who caused damage to their facilities at The Wong.
Goal nets at the North End of the ground have been slashed, as well as all the boundary ropes at that end of the pitch.
Chairman Colin low said: “It is a little soul destroying, when you have worked so hard to improve the town’s facilities, to be faced with this mindless vandalism.
“The nets were new for this season as part of our bid to improve the overall appearance. We are now faced with the cost of replacing them again, diverting precious funds.”
“I have reported the matter to the police and asked if they could include the club in patrols, as we fight this battle.”
