All crime needs reporting to cops

POLICE are appealing for members of the public from the Mareham-le-Fen area to come forward if they have been a victim of crime over the last few weeks but have not reported it.

This is folllowing a spate of burglaries and vehicle crime in the area.

On the evening of August 20, two teenage males stole a number of bicyles, a motorbike and various items from unlocked vehicles and property in the Mareham-le-Fen and Revesby areas.

One of the items stolen was a wallet from a vehicle, containing a 50 euro note.

This led to the suspects being traced and investigations led police to a number of incidents.

Following a search of the suspect’s houses, a number of items were recovered.

Two males, one 16 and one 17, have been arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries.

Following their arrest, the pair admitted to a number of other offences over the past few weeks. Some of these offences have not been reported to the police.
