Coningsby Christmas tree lights were switched on last Friday evening - followed by the traditional carol singing in St Michael’s Church.
Everyone who attended assembled outside with candle lanterns to parade around the village, stopping for more carols outside Toray Pines.
They then moved off to complete their route, ending at the Methodist Chapel for yet more carols followed by traditional refreshments. Hot chestnuts and mulled wine were available at the town council office.
As ever, it was a very popular event which signalled the start of celebrations in Coningsby.
Organisers were delighted with the turn-out.
