Charity worker Clive Yates was looking forward to his 50th birthday but stipulated no gifts for as he considered happy memories of the occasion would be adequate.

But he was quite overwhelmed by the response to his invitation to the Charity Race Night
arranged at the Cross Roads Inn - and the resulting £1,800 raised for the Lincolnshire Carers and Young Carers Partnership at what was an unforgettable evening.

The original plan was to take 30 young carers on an outing to Harry Potter World, but due to the unexpected success of the celebration party, two coaches with 70 young carers and their supporters were able to enjoy a day out free from the responsibilities of caring for others.

Clive works for the Partnership spending much time visiting places such as schools looking for signs which help identify other unregistered young carers.
