The National Trust owned Gunby Hall and Gardens is on course for another record breaking year and doubled its visitor numbers since it was fully managed by the Trust in 2012.
During 2012, the Hall welcomed 16,000 visitors but already more than 32,000 people have come through the doors in 2014.
House Manager Astrid Gatenby said: “This is a huge increase and a tripling of the 9,000 who visited us in 2011.
“We could not have achieved this without our small army of volunteers and small team of highly motivated staff.
“When I started at Gunby in 2011, we had a team of six room guides. Now, we have 86.
“In 2011 we opened our doors only two afternoons a week during the summer, now the house is open four days a week most of the year and the gardens and tea-room are open every day.”
