The 2014 Skegness, Mablethorpe and Lincolnshire Wolds visitor guide, which is produced by East Lindsey District Council and the Skegness, East Coast and Wolds Hospitality Association (SECWHA) is now available.
65,000 copies of the guide, which covers the coast and the Wolds have been printed and are being distributed throughout the country.
The full-colour A4 guide has a modern magazine-style look, with bold and engaging content showing the wide variety of activities and attractions on offer to the visitor. In a move away from more stereotypical photography, bold, bright images showcase some of the less obvious images of the area giving it real ‘stand-out’ appeal.
The guide is being supported by a substantial £85,000 marketing campaign that will see the area marketed using a blend of adverts, supplements, bus advertising, newspaper and magazine features plus online marketing activity. Visit East Lincolnshire, the destination management organisation for East Lindsey, has contributed more than £20,000 to support the campaign.
Councillor Adam Grist, said: “The visitor guide plays a vital part in showcasing the East Coast and Wolds which has such diverse offerings. Whether you are looking for a traditional beach holiday, quiet get-away or an all action break, East Lincolnshire really does have something to offer everyone.We know how good the District is, but this guide should go a long way to spreading this message further afield to those considering visiting the area this year and providing a welcome boost to the local economy.”
