Busy summer - the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa

When it comes to history, the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa can rival some of England’s premier attractions.

When it comes to modern-day facilities, it can match the best in the business.

The hotel was originally built in the early 1900’s for Grace Maple, who was formerly known as Baroness Von Heckhardstein - a prominent member of London’s High Society.

She used part of her divorce settlement to finance the building project.

After she left Woodhall in the 1930’s, Petwood
was converted into a hotel
and during the Second World War it was ‘home’ to the legendary ‘Dambusters’ squadron.

More recently, the hotel underwent several changes in ownership.

Today, the family owned hotel is firmly established one of the region’s premier venues.

It offers more than 50 individually designed bedrooms and has five different function rooms.

As a result, the hotel can cater for various conferences, from smaller groups to larger corporate and social functions.

It has a number of offers, including a ‘Corporate Special’ with a day delegate rate of £24 per person. There is also a 25 per cent reduction on room hire.

The hotel is also offering mid-week breaks until March 31 - and golfing breaks with the chance to play the neighbouring Hotchkin championship.

Other feature attractions include a wine tasting evening (March 16), Mothers Day lunch on March 10 and an Easter Egg Hunt on April 1.
