VIDEO: Red Arrows ready for new season stunts

Waiting for Video...

The world-famous Red Arrows took to the skies over Coningsby last week as they prepared for their 2014 display season.

Our photographer was stationed outside RAF Coningsby and captured a superb video of the famous squadron as they carried out their pre-season preparations.

The squadron started out at RAF Scampton at 4.02pm before making their way over Waddington, Heckington, Coningsby, Louth, Wragby, Boston and Horncastle before returning to their home base at approximately 4.44pm.

An RAF Coningsby spokesman said: “The Red Arrows carried out an Out of Season Practice last Thursday at Coningsby.

“Before deploying on Ex SPRINGHAWK to Cyprus each year, where the team intensively practices, they perform a number of OSPs at different locations to consolidate training away from RAF Scampton.

“These OSPs normally take place just after the first nine-ship practice.”
