A Horncastle company enjoyed a few minutes of TV exposure on Monday night - and helped make a dream come true for an eight-year-old girl.
Kitchen Solutions, based in Wharf Road, was featured in BBC1’s DIY SOS programme.
Daniel Johns, who jointly owns the company with Guy Shufflebotham, said the invite had come out of the blue.
He explained: “We got a phone call asking if we could help out with the SOS at a house in Spalding.
“At first, we thought it was a bit of a wind up because you’d expect them to go for a company closer to Spalding.”
Daniel admitted when they heard of the story behind the SOS, they were happy to help out.
He added: “It was for a severely disabled girl and it basically involved ripping the interior of the house out.
“The kitchen took a whole weekend but it was worth it, just to see the look on the family’s face at the end. It was very emotional.”
The pair, pictured above with designer Mike Reeve, paid tribute to Chris Taylor who helped them with the DIY SOS project but died last November. Daniel said: “Chris was a great guy and is sadly missed.”
