A husband and wife team has taken over ownership of one of the region’s most popular pubs - ending intense speculation about its future.
Julian and Jane Bower will throw open the doors of the West Ashby Arms next Tuesday evening - for drinks only.
They will start to serve food on Saturday week (November 9 ).
A number of Horncastle businesses were linked with a possible takeover.
Mr Bower is a former postman while Mrs Bower was an accountant who previously worked for Myers.
She said: “We wanted a new challenge and we’re very excited about the future.”
The couple have completed a full refurbishment and say they aim to use top quality local produce to build on the pub’s previous excellent reputation for food.
