Motorists in Horncastle are hoping for a swift completion of the town’s latest roadworks.
There were delays earlier this week on the A153 leading in and out of Horncastle.
Contractors were resurfacing an area of road on the ‘The Ropewalk’ roundabout at the junction with Stanhope Road.
Signs had been put up in advance, warning motorists that the work was going to start.
The works were controlled by temporary traffic lights.
Resident Ian Patterson said: “There have been a few queues but it’s good the road is being resurfaced. Hopefully the work will be completed by the weekend.
“It’s going to be very busy - especially with Cadwell Park.”
Sue Harris added: “I’m pleased the work is being done in the school holidays, otherwise it would have been chaos.
“People park on the side of the road to drop off and pick up their children so it makes sense doing it now.”
It is the second programme of work carried out on the A153 in Horncastle recently.
An additional set of roadworks - on the A153 in West Ashby - appear to have been removed.
