AIRCRAFT spotters flocked to RAF Coningsby on Tuesday to witness the return to Lincolnshire of an Avro Vulcan XH558.
Roads were chock-a-block with onlookers eagerly awaiting the restored Cold War bomber.

It arrived at 4.45pm and will remain at RAF Coningsby for essential maintenance work and a photo shoot for the next few days.

Hannah Francis, who lives in Willingham near Cambridge, sent in this photo.

She said: "The Vulcan flew past us twice on Tuesday afternoon. On the second go I was ready with the camera. My son Oliver, three, was very excited by the plane too!"

Did you see the Vulcan as it approached Coningsby? Are you a big fan of the aircraft?
