A PERFORMING arts student from Horncastle has been given the chance to appear in an I'm a Celebrity-style challenge in Borneo.
Peter Coldwell, of Jobson Road, is one of 120 people nationwide chosen to take part in the challenge called Rumble in the Jungle.
Contestants have been promised an action-packed itinerary including extreme jungle survival, scuba diving and abseiling in return for raising £3,500 for charity.
They have also been told to expect challenges, such as hunting for their own food, and forfeits, such as conducting a s ance with a former head-hunter tribe.
There is a possibility the event, organized by a company called Record Breakers, could be televised.
Mr Coldwell, a budding actor, explained: "It is brilliant to have been chosen.
"It could raise my profile by getting me seen on TV and also raise money for charity."
Jo Pettingell, who is in charge of recruitment for the show, explained Record Breakers' aim is to get a TV company interested so the experience can be televised.
She added although there is no such company on board as yet, it is hoped the idea will soon be 'sold' to one enabling filming to start in the early part of this year.
