MONDAY DECEMBER 31, 12;20: THE South Wold Hunt turned out in force in Horncastle on Saturday with around 30 members on horseback.
Despite the windy weather conditions, hunt master Nick Ashcroft was pleased with the day.

He said: "It went really well, it was a good day."

Numbers on horseback were slightly down but Mr Ashcroft attributed the cause to the holiday season and horses being too tired to take part due to other meets.

A large crowd turned out to support the hunt and follow its trail which began at the Admiral Rodney Hotel in Horncastle and ended at Baumber via West Ashby and Hemingby.

Hunt member and farmer John Roe laid the line.
