Monday, 2.40pm - SINGER and songwriter Alex Hel is returning to his roots in Horncastle to launch his debut album.
The 22-year-old, whose real name is Alex Holland-Leavens, has created an album of folk pop called 'Some Of These Trees Tell Stories' - a collection of songs about every day situations of being in love, getting dumped and being with friends.
Alex, who was brought up in Horncastle and now lives in Peterborough, will be performing some of his songs on Saturday at The Bull Hotel at 9pm, with free admission.
Previously, he has performed live on BBC Radio Lincolnshire's The Mix where he was described as 'ever so talented and a lovely romantic.'
He will be on The Mix again on Saturday between 4pm and 6pm.
* There are still some tickets left for the Band of the Royal Anglian Regiment concert organised at the Red Lion Theatre in Horncastle on Sunday, July 26. This nationally renowned band will be performing music from Les Miserables, Mamma Mia and the James Bond films.
