A MAN made off after police stopped a suspected stolen car on the A158 in High Toynton on Sunday.
Two women from Sheffield, aged 27 and 29-years-old, and a 26-year-old man from Doncaster were arrested when police stopped the black Vauxhall Astra at 5.50pm.

It had earlier been reported stolen from Spilsby Road, Holton Holegate, and the three were arrested on suspicion of attempted theft.

They were taken to Skegness Police Station where they were interviewed and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The fourth man, described as in his mid-30s, of stocky build and wearing jeans and a t-shirt fled the scene and has not yet been traced.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate and arrest him in connection with the attempted theft.

The vehicle was recovered from the scene and taken into police care.
