ORGANISERS of next month's Horncastle Midsummer Craft Market have said they are overwhelmed with the support being shown.
Graham Turner, chairman of Horncastle Now, the group behind the midsummer craft market, said: “It is really encouraging the amount of people who want to be part of this.

“We now have over 60 businesses who have become Friends of Horncastle Now and
numerous groups have come on board to help and be part of the day’s celebrations.”

Numerous groups are taking part on the day, June 22, including Horncastle Theatre Company and Horncastle Scout Groups.

Horncastle Now said it is also very grateful to Banovallum School and its PTA for providing car parking to accommodate the thousands of visitors expected.

A park and ride service will also be operated from the school on Boston Road to transport visitors to and from the town centre throughout the day.

“This is a town event for the community and people are taking this on board,” said Graham.

He added that without the support of Horncastle sector Insp Jason Kwee and his team of officers the event would not be possible.

Any community groups wishing to take part or have a stall to promote their organisation should call 01507 527798 or pop into Horncastle Music Shop.

There is still time for businesses to join the Friends of Horncastle Now initiative and in return be included in the event programme. For more details please call the Friends Co-ordinator Ian Chambers on 01507 524257.
