Mum-of-three Doreen Love had gone to Lincoln's Gala bingo club with her daughter Pauline on Sunday after deciding there was nothing worth watching on TV.
She explained: "I wasn't going to go to bingo that night but we had taken the grandchildren out during the day and there was nothing on the telly, so we decided to go."
Her last minute decision meant she was able to scoop not only the club prize of £85, but also the regional prize of £1,237, and national prize of £200,000 in the National Bingo Game in which 500 clubs around the country take compete.
The amazing feat was achieved by calling 'house' in just 35 numbers - the fewest nationwide in that particular game.
Doreen explained: "When I won I though it was just the £85. It wasn't until a member of staff came up to me four games later and said I had won the regional and national prizes too that I realised what I had done."
Pauline added: "When I realised mum had won it in 35 numbers I thought she had a chance at the regional prize but not the national."
Following the win Doreen now has an unusual lucky charm.
She explained: "I had lost my membership card on the night I won so they gave me a temporary one.
"That is going to be my lucky charm from now on."
Doreen has been a regular bingo player since she was 18, attending at least twice a week, but until now her biggest win was just £100.
Doreen and husband Mick, a self-employed bricklayer, have three children, Pauline, Stephen and Wendy and three grandchildren, Michael, 12, Sophie, 9, and Richard 4.
The couple already have a trip to China planned for next month - as long as Mick recovers from a broken collar bone which he sustained after falling off his motorbike.
They also plan to renovate their home, including a much-needed new kitchen.
Gala manager Tony Whitmee said: "I am sure it is the club's biggest win ever.
"I have never seen anyone shake as much as Doreen did. She was in total shock."
