FILMING for a documentary series in Belchford will act as a fantastic draw for Lincolnshire, according to the man given a fantastic insight into the production.
More than 30 production team members from Leopard Films descended on Poacher's Hideaway at Flintwood Farm, Belchford, earlier this month as filming got underway for the 10-part Farm of Fussy Eaters documentary.
A week after cameras stopped rolling secrecy still surrounds the exact details of the programme, but Andrew Tuxworth, owner of the farm - along with Wife Sally, explained how his business and even his family home was taken over.
He explained: "We had to move out of our home while eight 'fussy eaters' moved in."
He went on to talk about the filming which included spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the Lincolnshire Wolds.
He also spoke of some of the 'tasks' undertaken by the fussy eaters, including harvesting organic produce, working with sheep and Lincoln Red cattle, driving a forklift truck, milling their own wheat to make flour for bread and lots of cooking in his own kitchen.
Although the identity of the fussy eaters is still a closely guarded secret, Mr Tuxworth explained one didn't eat fish, so he was set a task to catch, prepare and cook his own trout.
He said three film crews filmed almost constantly over 16 days, producing 20 reels of film which will be condensed into 10 episodes to be shown on UKTV early next year.
And, he told how various celebrities also descended on the farm - but remained close-lipped about their identities, although he did say local 'celebrity' Rachel Green was instrumental in the filming taking place in Lincolnshire.
* A spokesperson for Leopard Films explained: "Key to this series being filmed in Lincolnshire was finding the spectacular location of Flintwood Farm, and Horncastle, with its relaxed friendly atmosphere and the fact Lincolnshire has established itself as one of the UK's leading organic farm produce counties."
