4pm, Tuesday - HORNCASTLE Town Hall will have its future decided at an East Lindsey District Council meeting on Tuesday, July 14.
The Town Hall Working Group is eagerly awaiting the outcome and hopes ELDC's executive board will accept its business plan to take over the running of the hall and transform it into a community building.
Bill Aron, working group chairman, said he is waiting to hear if they can actively participate in the debate at the meeting.
He said: "The support is still there and the need for this building is self-explanatory."
"Demolishment should not even be an option, it is much too extreme."
He said the group was not 'just a bunch of amateurs' and that some of the members, including himself, had been involved in running the War Memorial Centre on North Street, which has been going for seven years and is a success.
* A raffle is being launched at Horncastle Summer Craft Market on Sunday to raise money for the working group with a number of great prizes from a bottle of champagne to a meal for two at the Bull Hotel in Horncastle.
