Friday, 11am - A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Tattershall last night, Thursday.
Police said the victim, who lived locally, was out walking his dog in East Street when he was attacked by an unknown man at around 7pm.

He was stabbed in his abdomen with, what police described as, a bladed weapon.

He was taken to Boston Pilgri
m Hospital where he is being treated for a serious but non-life-threatening stab wound.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

The offender, believed to have fled the scene along West Drive which leads back towards the main road, is described as around 6' tall, of medium build, aged around 19-20, with all black clothing and a hooded jacket.

He also had a black scarf across his face and his trousers had three stripes down both legs.

The area remains cordoned off with police investigating the scene and local officers due to carry out house to house enquiries in the area later this morning.

Detective Sergeant Rick West from Boston CID said: "This is what appears to be an unprovoked and vicious assault on a young man walking his dog.

"Nothing was stolen from the victim and the motive is unknown."

"We need to trace witnesses to this assault, particularly anyone who saw the offender in the East Drive area of Tattershall between 6.45pm and 7.20pm last night.

"We are also keen to hear from anyone who recognises the description, or believes they may hold information that could assist our enquiries,"

* Anyone with information should contact Boston CID on 01205 312235 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
