Saturday, 8am - BAE Systems, which is based at RAF Coningsby, has donated £468 to the Jacdor Community Pre-School nursery.
This will allow the centre to buy three RABO tricycles and two didicars for youngsters in Coningsby to use.

The play equipment will be used by the children in their new outdoor play area.

Just half a mile from RAF Coningsby, the pre-school is attended by children aged two-and-a-half to four-years-old, including children of BAE Systems and RAF personnel who work on the Station.

According to staff at the pre-school, as well as developing the children's muscle control, balance and sharing skills, the donation will also help the teenage work experience students expand their basic teaching, caring and supervisory skills.

BAE Systems Typhoon Availability Service Head of Human Resources Adam Smith said: "I'm really pleased that we have been able to support a local pre-school by providing the children at the Jacdor pre-school with play equipment."

Supervisor Bev May added: "The children are really enjoying using the play equipment already. We'd like to thank BAE Systems for supporting us."
