A relative of Lady Weigall, original owner of the Petwood in Woodhall Spa, has paid a visit to the hotel.
Anne Nicholson, a cousin twice removed of Grace Weigall, enjoyed a stay with her husband George. The were met by researcher Dr Nicholas Duke-Cox, pictured with Mrs Nicholson, from the Woodhall Spa Cottage Museum who has a great interest in the Petwood gardens and the architecture of the house.
During the afternoon Mr and Mrs Nicholson were given a comprehensive tour of the grounds and they viewed many of the photographs from the museum’s photographic archive.
The following day the couple visited the museum which is always pleased to help researchers with family history or local history if enough basic information is available.
