Coningsby and Tattershall Lions have taken over the former ‘Youthworx’ building in Silver Street.

The building has been unoccupied for more than a year but has been secured by the Lions, initially on a 10-year lease.

It has been completely refurbished and redecorated and includes two large rooms and one smaller room.

The Lions point out it is suitable for committee meetings and other groups and organisations including mothers and toddlers, craft workshops and perhaps a youth centre.

The hire charge is £3 per hour and details are available from a member of the Lions Club or Penny’s Place, Coningsby.

The building has already been designated to host auditions for a talent competition which is being run in conjunction with the Coningsby and Tattershall Show.

From the initial auditions, heats will be held at the Black Horse Studio. The prize for the winning act is a manager and a recording contract.
