Tattershall Parish Council recently held their annual dinner and Chairman Nick Brown was pleased to present the Manning Trophy to Coningsby and Tattershall Lions’ President Peter Green.

Coun Brown said that the Coningsby and Tattershall Lions deserved the award for all the good work they continually did in the villages.

Sidney Manning had been a councillor for 45 years altogether and when he retired in 1968 he donated the trophy to be given to a person or group who had done the most for the community.

A delighted Mr Green said that the Lions were really proud to have been chosen.
