Horncastle Young Stagers

JOSEPH & His Round–the–World Dream-boat by Alan Meadows is a play for children to have fun performing, a play for people to have fun watching and will be a world premier when it is presented by Horncastle Young Stagers.

It traces the life of local Lincolnshire lad Joseph Banks from schoolboy through his epic voyages with Captain Cook onto international renown.

Combining drama, music, dance and physical theatre, the young cast paint a vivid picture of Sir Joseph’s colourful life.

Creating the landscapes of Lincolnshire, far flung lands and the Royal Courts of London, you are invited to them on Joseph’s epic journey on the maiden voyage of this captivating and entertaining play.

The Young Stagers are happy to be supported by the Joseph Banks Society of Horncastle on a cultural and heritage project to celebrate the life and achievements of one of our county’s greatest sons.

Joseph & His Round the World Dream Boat is part of a calendar, developed by East Lindsey District Council, of exciting sporting, heritage and cultural events to showcase the district and attract visitors.

Horncastle Young Stagers is proud to have this production accredited by East Lindsey Live.

Performances are on Saturday October 6 at 3pm and 7.30pm. Tickets cost between £4 and £5 and are available from Horncastle Music Shop, call 01507 526566.
