Stage is set for thriller from another stager
A PLAY within a play is the October offering from Louth Playgoers.
Sleep No More, by David Gillespie and Colin Wakefield, is a thriller that will keep the audience intrigued right to the end.
When an accident occurs in a theatre involving a young girl during rehearsal for a Victorian thriller, the place is closed down.
Now, after 60 years of neglect, Micky the great-grandson of the original theatre owner, decides it’s time to re-open the venue and use the very same play as its opening show.
Micky’s elderly father is the only one who knows the truth of what happened all those years ago, but when rehearsals for the play begin, so do unusual and mysterious happenings with strange consequences.
Micky ignores warnings from his father about the play’s past, but should he listen?
Sleep No More is on at Louth Playgoers Riverhead Theatre from Monday, October 8, to Saturday, October 13, with nightly performances at 7.30pm.
For tickets call the box office on 01507 600350, open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 1pm.
