Ratty tale brings Hamelin to Louth

KRAZY Kat Theatre Company brings a comedy re-telling of a classic tale to the stage at Louth next week.

In the sleepy town of Hamelin, there are a lot of rampaging, ravenous rats and Mrs Mayoress wants them gone.

But when the mysterious Pied Piper turns up and sorts things out, she’s reluctant to pay the Piper.

With the threat of further magical disappearances, it’s left to a little deaf boy to sort out the muddled mayhem.

The Pied Piper is one of deaf director Caroline Parker’s favourite stories, and in this vibrant new version it’s given the full Krazy Kat treatment.

With beautiful puppets, equally beautiful people, plus magical tricks, silly singing and super sand-dancing, this visually dynamic production features rats, music and silliness.

As with all Krazy Kat Theatre Company productions, it is a sign language arts production, featuring fully-integrated sign language throughout.

Performances of The Pied Piper take place at The Riverhead Theatre on Wednesday, June 6, at 11am and 2.30pm, especially for children aged three to seven years and their families.
