Play a Spectacula spooky success

Dracula Spectacula was certainly a spectacular production from members of the Wragby Players.

A spooky musical by John Gardiner and Andrew Parr was performed on the weekends of 14 & 15 and 21 & 22 of September at Wragby Town Hall.

It followed the story line of Miss Nadia Naive and her three pupils when they were swung into riotous Transylvanian happenings with the irrepressible Count Dracula.

Directed by Anne and Paul Savage with musical director Paul Savage and Choreographer Lesley Chapman the performance was perfection. It was a fairly young cast backed by some older members, but from the start everything flowed and it was obvious that they were having fun.

It would be unfair to highlight anyone but, a special mention must go to Count Dracula - Ashley Scott; Genghis - Alex Ray; Luke - Alex Woodall; Kelly - Joely Pryer; Elvis - Jordan Knowles; and Hans and Gretel - Andrew Sellars and Anne Savage.

Looking forward, Wragby Players are planning a ‘Murder Mystery Dinner’ in partnership with the Wragby Methodist Church for April 2013.

They also hope to perform a pantomime or potted pantomime in February 2013. For more call Emma Ray on 01673 857798..
