QUAFTERS, a sowing group which meets in Hemingby, has organised a fabric sale at Stanhope Hall, Horncastle on Saturday September 29 from 10.30am-2.30pm.

After raising £800 last year for Breast Cancer Research, the group has made the decision to host the event again.

Marie Newmarch said: “Last year we arranged for Doughty’s from Hereford to come along to the Stanhope Hall to bring along their fabrics.

“On the day two van loads of materials, waddings, jelly rolls, fat quarters and calico arrived.

“We unloaded them and almost filled the Hall.”

As well as fabric, visitors to the hall could also sample tea, coffee and cakes which were on offer.

Marie continued: “The cost of admission is only £2 and this is an excellent opportunity for the quilters of Lincolnshire to purchase an excellent variety of material to keep them busy patch working through the winter months.”
