The Country Company and Nigel ‘Boy’ Syer concert held at Banovallum School was once again a huge success and raised £1,300.

The show, on Friday December 7, raised a bumper amount for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

A large audience enjoyed the singing and comedy of these two great acts and again went home in high spirits for Christmas after singing along with some seasonal songs.

This was Clive and Sandra’s twelfth and last visit to Horncastle, during which time they have helped to raise £13,000 for charity.

They will be greatly missed, and received a standing ovation. They were presented with gifts by organiser Pat Rowett after their performance.

Clive’s gift was a toilet roll printed with music and they were also presented with a miniature guitar clock.

Pat and her husband Mick wish to thank all the team who helped on the night, Pete and Carol Houldershaw and Tony and Val Cammack who have helped with all concerts throughout the 12 years.

They also thanked Pauline of Horncastle Furnishers for acting as the box office and staff at Banovallum School for their cooperation and help.

The show must go on, so Nigel will be performing next year.

He will share the stage with another act to be announced.

Pat and Mick will be holding another concert for the Air Ambulance at the school on Sunday April 21, 2013, starring Ann Breen.
