Tom Owen in Krapps Last Tape

LAST of the Summer Wine star Tom Owen brings his Edinburgh Festival success to the Broadbent Theatre in Wickenby this week.

Krapp’s Last Tape is a monodrama written by Samuel Beckett and tells the story of Krapp, a man on his 69th birthday, reviewing tapes he made on previous birthdays.

As he listens to a tape he made 30 years ago, the audience gets an insight into the man’s life.

Krapp is an infirm old man, clearly approaching the end of his life – not a character often used as a lead, and it’s quite a performance.

After the play, there will be the chance to meet Tom Owen as he holds a question and answer session.

Tickets for the performance, on Friday, October 12, at 7.30pm, cost £8.50 and £7 prepaid from www.broadbent.org or 01673 885500.

There is a £1 surcharge for tickets purchased on the door rather than pre-paid.
