A stroll through Horncastle history

On Tuesday October 30, Paul Scott and Peter Harness will be leading an evening walk through Horncastle’s best kept secrets.

In 1983, BJ Davey wrote a book called Lawless and Immoral: Policing a Country Town 1938-1857.

Vice, drunkenness, and riotous behaviour were prominent concerns in the town.

Why not join the walk around the streets of the lawless and immoral Horncastle?

Hear about the drunken brawls, street begging and prostitution.

Meet at the Market Place for a 7pm start andthe walk will conclude at 8.30pm.

Tickets are £10 or £5 and can be bought from the Bull Hotel or Joseph Banks Centre.
