Pat Pomeroy gave a very inspiring talk to Horncastle Family History Group at its October meeting.

Have You Tried? covered every aspect of research from registers to inquisitions.

The 1939 register was also discussed, with a meeting being held in Skellingthorpe.

With handouts to accompany her talk, everyone had new avenues to explore.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, November 25, when Richard Gurnham will give a talk entitled Prostitution in Victorian Lincolnshire.

The venue is WI House in Banks Street at 7.30pm. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

Members are reminded of the social meeting on December 9, which will include a faith supper.
