EDITOR - You asked for readers to let you know their views on the future of the Town Hall.
I think a lot of people living in Horncastle are unaware that there is an alternative.

This is because there was no mention of the possibility of a brand new building on all the leaflets and posters that were distributed around the town, which only publicised saving the existing building.

I have spoken to several residents about this and they all said 'What alternative?'.
This is very misleading, as when I then tell them about the option of a new Town Hall they are very much in favour.
As there is now going to be the expense of an official poll, maybe we should all be given clearer details of what we are voting for?

Should we not be given the option of voting for a brand new hall?

All the groups who are in favour of retaining the existing hall might find, given more information, that the design of a new multi-functional building would better serve their needs.
