11am: Annual Duck Race in Horncastle at the River Bain near Tesco. Sponsor a duck for £1. Money prizes to be won.

6.45pm: Banovallum Bridge Club at the indoor bowls club on Coronation Walk in Horncastle. Information: Mrs Jill King 01507 522287

8pm: Horncastle Community Dance at the community centre. Information: 01507 533659

8pm: Race Night at Minting Village Hall. Bar available. All proceeds to Lincoln MS Therapy Centre. Tickets are £6 including supper. Information: 01507 578624 / 01522 543333



SUNDAY MAY 11

10am-1pm: Car boot sale at Bardney playing field (8am for sellers). All vehicles £4. Information: 01526 398312

1.30pm: May Day Fete at Tanglewood Care Home on Louth Road, Horncastle. Official opening by the Mayor with a tug a war and other activities. Information: 01507 527265

3pm: Family quiz at High Toynton Church in aid of the church. Free tea and cakes. Prizes to be won. Bring your own wine etc. All welcome. £5 per team.

3pm: Summer Songs of Praise with Churches Together in Royal Square, Woodhall Spa

7.30pm: A Night at the Proms with Lincoln Beevor Band and Beevor Youth Band at The Lawn on Union Road, Lincoln. Advance tickets are £4 with £3.50 concessions and all tickets bought on the door are £5. Information: 01522 800532 or www.beevorband.com
