HISTORY re-enactment groups from across the county will be revisiting wartime 1940s at Thorpe Camp Visitor Centre Museum on July 26 and 27.
There will be an opportunity to browse the many military and civilian stalls and watch demonstrations on how RAF uniforms and equipment were worn by service crews and 1940s hair and make-up.

1940s dance classes will be taking place throughout the weekend for people to learn to jive in time for 1940s dances taking place at Coningsby Village Hall on the Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm, with Moggies Music Memories.

On Sunday July 27, the re-enactment groups will be taking part in a service and wreath laying ceremony at 10.30am on site at Thorpe Camp conducted by The Rev Ivor Haythorne together with the Woodhall Spa and Coningsby district Royal British Legion, Wisbech RAF Cadets band and members of the public.

The camp was built in 1940 as the number one communal site for RAF Woodhall Spa.
