THE last Lincolnshire Newspapers websites' Pet Star vote created lots of interest with over 1,000 votes being cast in just one month.
The winner, Timberlake a guinea pig from Sutton on Sea, will now feature on the homepage of our popular Readers' Pets section at www.horncastlenews.co.uk and all the other Lincolnshire Newspapers' websites for the next month and we're starting a new vote to find a Pet Star to go on the homepage early in August and hopefully at the end of the year we'll have a Pet Star of the Year vote featuring all the winners and runners-up.

And among the finalists for this month's new Pet Star vote are: Sparky the pet Labradoodle.

He lives with the Leyland family in Horncastle and Albie who lives with Sue in Horncastle.

To vote, just click on the Readers' Pets tile on the homepage, then use the link at the top of the Readers' Pets section to go to the vote.

There are many animal rescue groups and charities locally and we have now added links on the Readers' Pets homepage to some of them - and we'll be happy to add others if you let us know the full web address.
